MOMS CALM Formula Tincture

This natural herbal remedy aids in sleep, reduces the feeling of stress and anxiety.  It also decreases inflammation.  It can help in depression and relax the muscles.  It has helped people who are nervous or anxious that keeps them from falling asleep. It is a nervine, anodyne, sedative and analgesic.  Chamomile has positive interactions of those on chemotherapy.  I include an information sheet with each order as Kava Kava does interact with medications such as Alprazolam and Buspirone.

 

 

 

Herb:  CHAMOMILE FLOWER

Botanical name:  Matricaria recutita

Origin:  Egypt 

Therapeutic actions:  Anodyne; Anti-inflammatory; Antiseptic; Antispasmodic; Anthelmintic; Carminative; Cholagogue; Diaphoretic; Emmenagogue; Nervine; Sedative; Stimulant; Stomachic; Tonic; Vasodilator.

Nutrients:  Choline, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, iron, selenium, silicon, vitamins A, B1, B3, C, E and F.

Drug interactions:  Reduces or prevents mouth sores if on chemotherapy, ciplatin, cyclophosphamide, doxetaxel, fluorouracil, methotrexate and pactitaxel.

Description:  It has been able to reduce inflammation, stimulate the appetite, aids in digestion and sleep.

Internal uses:  Most known for its calming and sedative effects for the nervous system and headaches. 

Herb:  KAVA KAVA ROOT

Botanical name:  Piper methysticum

Origin:  Vanuatu

Therapeutic actions:  Antiseptic; Analgesic; Anti-inflammatory; Nervine.

Drug interactions:  Interacts with Alprazolam, Buspirone.

Description:  Used for pain associated with nerve or skin diseases.

It relieves stress after injuries. The plant works by first stimulating the nervous system, depresses it, so it is very beneficial for anxiety, insomnia and stress. Works well with Valerian. 

CAUTION:  Do not take if pregnant, nursing or have a liver disorder.  Do not take more than the recommended dosage.

Herb:  VALERIAN ROOT

Botanical name:  Valeriana officinalis

Origin:  USA/Croatia

Therapeutic actions:  Antispasmodic; Anodyne; Cathartic; Carminative; Diaphoretic; Diuretic; Hypnotic; Nervine; Sedative; Stimulant; Tonic.

Nutrients:  Calcium, choline, essential fatty acids, iron, magnesium, manganese, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, zinc, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and C.

Drug Interactions:  No known Drug Interactions.

Description:  It is known for its sedative effect on the central nervous system. It has been used for anxiety, nervous tension, insomnia and general stress symptoms. Although it is a strong nervine, it leaves the person feeling refreshed rather than sluggish. It has been used for difficulties falling asleep due to nervousness. 

CAUTION:  Should only be used short term and in normal doses; otherwise, it may cause headaches, muscular spasm and palpitations and mental depression in some individuals.  Do not use if have preexisting liver disease. 

Ingredients:  Lavendar flowers, Chamomile flowers, Kava Kava root, Valerian root, 30 % grain alcohol, ionized water.
